We were approached to come up with some designs to create a pleasent cafe environment and a shop which would be inkeeping with the Dinosuars Unleashed exhibition. There was a lot to consider; the heavy foot fall (and that's not just the dinosaurs), the wide age range of visitors and the 3 month duration of the exhibition. The cafe environmet needed to be inviting for both adults and children so a bold jungle print was combined with soft wicker lighting and chunky wood furnishings, designed and built by us, to soften the structure’s space.
The shop took on a more industrial feel to reflect that of the indoor exhibition, so glossy black laminate was combined with ali edging and flightcase corners which also made them strong enough to resist the abuse of eager children. Careful consideration was needed as to the height of the units and their build quality to ensure it was a safe environment too.

To create a cafe and shop environment to compliment the Dianosaurs Unleashed Exhibition at Park Life Oxford Street was the fearsome challenge to kick off the new year. So we dusted off our Palaentologist gloves and got stuck in!
Although they differ from the finished units slightly, these drawings of the shop and coffee bar offered up our initial ideas to the client and got the ball rolling.
