The classic look of a winter wonderland is always a popular theme for Christmas Parties or Winter Balls and it's one that we regularly get asked to help create. Our first winter wonderland interior for the 2014 Christmas season was for Gavin Parkhouse Ltd at a private party where we helped them to install a tree lined walkway into a marquee where guests were transported into a frozen winter landscape.

Inside the marquee was a lounge area with white chaise lounges and silver cushions, perspex stools and mirrored tables. Low soft lighting and candles created the feel of a warm winter glow.

A circular bar made of ice and engraved with snowflakes was made by Ice Box and filled the centre of the marquee. Above the bar a trio of spiral chandeliers were suspended.

In addition a smaller bar with a silver birch bark strip fascia was installed in the lobby whilst the round mirrored dancefloor was enhanced with a castle stage set with the DJ raised 6 feet in the air. Guests were also able to take a break from the dancing by slipping through a doorway in the set to have some fun with a hidden photobooth.

The marquee was blacked out and filled with hundreds of pea lights which enhanced the sparkle of giant glitter covered snowflakes. Disco balls were suspended from the ceiling to create a dancefloor that shimmered and twinkled. Gobo lighting also projected snowflakes onto the floor, adding to the winter feel.
